The Slavonski Brod House of Prayer is organizing the 12th VATRA Seminar, which will take place from March 13 to 15, 2026, at the Vijuš Hall in Slavonski Brod. The VATRA Seminar brings together people of all ages from across Croatia and abroad; last year, approximately 2,000 participants from 8 countries and more than 100 cities attended. The seminar is shaped by numerous talks, worship, and prayer, offering an opportunity for fellowship, growth in faith, and a deeper relationship with God.

The theme of the upcoming VATRA Seminar is “THE POWER OF PRAYER”. Through this theme, we seek to awaken awareness of the power of prayer and strengthen the Spirit within us so that our prayers may bring about change.

Over its 12 years of existence, the VATRA Seminar has gathered around 7,000 participants from more than 10 countries and over 100 cities. Participants come from more than 70 prayer communities and associations that nurture diverse spiritual traditions, bearing witness to the beauty of communion and the richness of the Catholic Church that this seminar brings together in love for Christ (Marian, Jesuit, and Franciscan spiritualities; the Focolare Movement; the 40 Days for Life initiative; the Prayer and Word community; the Croatian Schoenstatt Family; as well as numerous parish communities from Croatia and the diaspora).

Over the years, we have had the opportunity to listen to 18 speakers, including Dr. Johannes Hartl, founder of the largest House of Prayer in Europe, and Michelle Moran, former president of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal based in the Vatican.
